English presentation skills

How to present both clearly and engaging in English? How to convince your public and how to deal with answering difficult questions in a professional and effective manner? These and a lot of other subjects will be dealt with in the 2-day course “Presenting with Impact”. After this training, you´ll leave the training room knowing how to successfully get your message across to an international audience.

Program Day 1:

How to write a quick and thorough foundation for a convincing presentation?
What is my personal presentation style and how can I maximize my impact?
How to deal with nerves?
What tips and tricks are there for presenting in English?

Program Day 2:

How to begin and end memorable?
How can I answer questions professionally and effectively?
How to use PowerPoint and Prezi in a supporting manner?
How to use the correct focus to successfully get my message across?

Approach:

Learning by doing. Trainees are stimulated to test the theory and experience if what is being taught works for them.
Learning together. The trainer does not take on a “know it all” attitude, but purposely appeals to the trainees own knowledge. This way an active approach is stimulated that greatly enhances the learning process. Although the trainer has a lot of experience, the aim is to trigger a curious attitude to the question what works and what does not work in a presentation situation. This way the trainee becomes conscious of which behavior is needed to reach the desired effect.
Using KOLB. KOLB is a training method, that consciously includes all phases that are necessary to learn skills. Only when you go through this whole cycle, people really learn on the application level.
Intake and assignment. Before the training an intake takes place to learn the individual needs of the trainee. Based on the intake the trainer creates specific presentation assignments.
Individual attention. There is no such thing as a uniform recipe that is applicable to everybody, when it comes to upgrading your personal presentation skills. By giving individual attention, each trainee will get a clear picture what he/she needs specifically to become more effective while presenting.
Long term focus: The trainee will make a learning plan for after the training.
End report: the trainee will receive a personal presentation report after the training.
Use of video: the trainees will be taped several times. These video’s will be studied and will be available for the trainees besides manuals.

Practical information:

Location: in company or in Amsterdam.
Duration: two days 9:30 to 17:00 (2 weeks between first and final session)
Investment open entry: 550,- Euro per person, no VAT included. Including manuals and video tapes.
Investment in company: 3000,- Euro, no VAT included. For a group of 6 people. (250,- Euro per day, per person) including manuals and video tapes.
Investment (location arranged by PWI): 3500,- Euro, no VAT included. For a group of 6 people. (292,- Euro per day, per person) including manuals and video tapes.
Prerequisites: in order to take part in the training a basic knowledge of the English language is required. The main focus of the training is on presentation skills, not on the English language.
